How far in advance should I book?
We recommend booking as early as possible. Our vans are in high demand during:
- Western Australian school holidays (January, April, July, September/October)
- Summer (December to February) especially for the Coral Coast and South West
- Long weekends throughout the year
- Wildflower season (August to October)
Is there a minimum hire period?
Yes. Glory Camper Hire has a minimum hire period of 3 days. This applies to both Gloria and Grace. For longer road trips, such as the Coral Coast, the South West or a full lap of WA, we offer flexible hire periods of up to several weeks. Check our Camplify listing for current pricing and availability.
Is a deposit required to secure my booking?
Deposits and payment terms are managed through Camplify at the time of booking. Camplify typically requires a deposit to secure your dates, with the balance due closer to your hire date. Full details are shown at checkout on the Camplify platform. All payments are processed securely through Camplify — we do not take any direct payments.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellation terms are managed by Camplify and are shown clearly at the time of booking. We recommend reviewing the cancellation terms carefully when booking. If you need to cancel or change your dates, contact us directly and we'll do our best to help.
Is insurance included?
Yes, insurance is included with every booking made through Camplify. When you book, Camplify requires you to select an Accident Excess Reduction (AER) package. There are generally two tiers available:

What campervans does Glory Camper Hire have available?
Glory Camper Hire operates two custom-built VW Transporter campervans, Gloria and Grace. Both are 2013/2014 VW Transporters with automatic transmission, built for two people and designed for comfortable, off-grid adventures across Western Australia. Both vans include complimentary bed linen, towels, kitchen essentials, outdoor furniture, a welcome pack and a free WA National Parks Pass.
What is the difference between Gloria and Grace?
Gloria and Grace are both 2-person VW Transporter campervans based in Perth. They are similarly equipped but have slightly different custom builds and interior layouts. Both vans are excellent choices — check both vans on our website or our Camplify listings for photos, full specs and current availability.
Are the vans automatic or manual?
Both Gloria and Grace are automatic transmission vehicles. This makes them easy to drive for everyone, including travellers who are not used to driving a van or who prefer not to drive manual. No special licence or experience is required beyond a standard Australian driver's licence.
What is included in the campervan hire?
Our campervans come fully equipped and ready to go. Here is everything included with every Glory Camper Hire booking:
- Sleeping: quality custom foam mattress, complimentary bed linen, pillows, quilt and blanket
- Kitchen: stove, air fryer, toaster, kettle, coffee machine, 65L fridge, cutlery, cookware and tableware
- Pantry staples: tea, coffee, sugar, butter, jam, oils, salt and pepper to get you started
- Outdoor living: picnic chairs, outdoor table, blanket, rechargeable string lights, solar shower, washing line and side awning
- Tech and comfort: reverse camera, Bluetooth connectivity, built-in GPS, internal van shades
- Off-grid capability: solar panels, lithium battery and inverter, 50L fresh water tank
- Welcome Pack: fresh linen, pantry basics and local tips
- WA National Parks Pass: free entry to all WA national parks for the duration of your hire
What fuel type do the vans take?
Both Gloria and Grace are diesel vehicles. You will need to refuel with diesel only. The vans are returned to you with a full tank, and we ask that you return them with a full tank as well. Diesel is widely available across Western Australia, including in most regional towns along popular routes.
Are the vans suitable for first-time campervan travellers?
Absolutely. Our vans are designed with ease of use in mind. Both Gloria and Grace are compact, automatic and straightforward to drive. The van setup and all equipment is clearly explained at pickup and we provide a detailed handover guide. We are always available by phone or message during your hire if you have any questions. Many of our guests are first-time campervan travellers and they consistently tell us it was easier than they expected.
Is the WA National Parks Pass really included?
Yes. Every Glory Camper Hire booking includes a complimentary Western Australian National Parks Pass for the duration of your hire. This gives you free entry to all WA national parks and marine parks, including Cape Le Grand, Karijini (day use areas on sealed roads), Fitzgerald River, Leeuwin-Naturaliste and more. A single day entry to a national park normally costs $17 per vehicle, so if you are visiting multiple parks this pass represents significant savings. The pass is provided in your welcome pack at pickup.

What areas of Western Australia can I travel to?
Glory Camper Hire vans can travel throughout Western Australia on sealed, paved roads. Our travel boundaries are:
- North: as far as Vlamingh Head Lighthouse in Exmouth (including Ningaloo Reef and the Coral Coast)
- East: as far as Cape Le Grand National Park near Esperance (including the Great Southern region)
- South West: full access including Margaret River, Albany, Denmark and the Karri forests
Where is pickup and dropoff located?
Glory Camper Hire is based in Floreat, Western Australia, a convenient suburb just 10 minutes beachside from Perth CBD and close to the Mitchell Freeway. Exact pickup address and instructions are provided in your Camplify booking confirmation. We ask that you arrange to pick up and return the van at agreed times so we can ensure it is properly prepared for each hire. If you need to arrange an airport transfer to reach us, we are happy to recommend local options.
Is there an age limit for drivers and can more than one person drive?
Yes. All drivers must be aged 21 years or over and hold a full, current driver's licence. A provisional or learner's licence is not accepted. Additional drivers are welcome and can be added to the booking through Camplify — they must also be 21 or over and hold a full licence. International visitors can drive our vans using a valid overseas licence accompanied by an official English translation or an International Driving Permit (IDP).
What happens if I break down during my hire?
All bookings through Camplify include 24-hour roadside assistance. If you break down or experience a mechanical issue during your hire, call the Camplify roadside assistance number provided in your booking confirmation. They will arrange help wherever you are in Western Australia. You should also contact us directly so we are aware of the situation and can provide any additional support. We recommend saving both numbers in your phone before you depart.
What is the best time of year to hire a campervan in WA?
Western Australia is a year-round road trip destination, but the best time depends on where you want to go:
- April to October: ideal for the Coral Coast, Exmouth and Ningaloo Reef — cooler and more comfortable in the north
- August to October: wildflower season, one of WA's most spectacular natural events, especially along the Brand Highway and Wheatbelt
- November to March: perfect for the South West, Margaret River, Albany and the Karri forests
- Year-round: Perth day trips and short regional escapes are great in any season
Do I need to refill the fuel tank before returning the van?
Yes. We send you off with a full tank of diesel and ask that you return the van with a full tank. Please refuel at a service station before your return drop-off. If the van is returned without a full tank, the cost of the missing fuel will be charged. Diesel is available throughout WA including in most regional towns — however in very remote areas fuel availability can be limited, so plan ahead and top up when you can rather than waiting until you are running low.
Are pets allowed in the campervan?
We love animals, but unfortunately we do not permit pets in our campervans. This policy is in place to protect the cleanliness and condition of the van for all future guests, and because some travellers have allergies.
Can I take the campervan interstate?
No. Our campervans are licensed for use within Western Australia only and cannot be taken interstate. All travel must remain within the WA state boundaries. Western Australia alone offers thousands of kilometres of incredible road trip routes from Exmouth in the north to Esperance in the south east — more than enough to keep you busy within the state.
Is Glory Camper Hire accredited or certified?
Yes. Glory Camper Hire is a proud member of the Tourism Council of Western Australia and holds both Quality Tourism Accreditation and Sustainable Tourism Accreditation. These accreditations mean we have been independently assessed against high standards of service, safety, cleanliness and sustainability. We were also a finalist in the 2025 Perth Airport WA Tourism Awards. When you book with Glory Camper Hire, you are booking with a recognised and trusted WA tourism business.
